The Institute for Geophysics will move into its new home next to the BEG on the Pickle Research Campus during the first week of January, 2007. The newly-constructed building is officially called the "Research Office Complex" - a terribly generic name, unfortunately, as we were given very little latitude in the appellation - but does come with a very cool 3-letter designation: ROC. The ROC was substantially completed almost precisely one year from ground breaking in September of 2005, on time and under budget thanks to the incredible work of the Flintco crew and the many subcontractors working under them. At the moment it is receiving its finishing touches and new furniture installation (the ROC's progress is chronicled in John Goff's photo blog). Staff phone numbers and email addresses will remain unchanged after the move. Our new address will be:
J.J. Pickle Research Campus, Bldg. 196 (ROC)
10100 Burnet Rd. (R2200), Austin, TX 78758-4445
