Attachments on the columns will eventually support the brickwork

These straps and poles hanging down from the 2nd floor will eventually be used to support duct work in the 1st floor ceiling.  These must be in place before the concrete is poured on the 2nd floor.  I'm standing on a fresh pour on the first floor (not sinking, fortunately).

Up on the 2nd floor, a wire mesh has been laid out for reinforcing the concrete.  Those small pegs all in a row are shear bolts, welded to the beam below, which secures the concrete to the building frame.

Progress on the west stairwell - soon we'll be able to use it rather than a rickety ladder to go up and down.

Down in the west wing of the first floor, where the concrete is fully cured, workers are starting to lay out the wall and door positions.

Here's a close-up of their work - this is where the door to office 1.115 will be.  It'll be a while before they lay out my office on the third floor.  Can't wait.

The shiny slab in the background is the most recent concrete pour.  A sticky substance is sprayed on top to keep moisture in during curing.  It will eventually dissipate, and look like the slab in the foreground.

Some important preparatory work in the seminar room prior to pouring the slab here.  These workers are installing floor boxes (15 in all), that will feed power to seminar tables when the room is in that configuration.   The floor had to be lowered 2" in places in order to get enough concrete to cover all the conduits that will be installed for these boxes.
