The steel frame takes shape

Steel frame thus far: the BEG connector is complete (background) and work is going quickly on the 3-story part of the main building. 

Construction in action: a cross beam is lifted from the staging area.....

.....up it rises.....

.....and then nestled carefully into place.  That's Paul Mann's lab they're working on now (NE corner 3rd floor).

Meanwhile... grade beam construction continues along the SE corner, where the TACC computer lab will be.  This view is looking westward along the south wall...

....and this is looking northward along the east wall.

Along the west side, wood fencing is set up for the first concrete pour of the slab on grade.  This is a bit early - the first pour is not scheduled until the end of the month.
