Ground-breaking for UTIG and TACC Building
On Sept. 29, 2005, members of UTIG attended the ground-breaking ceremony of a new building on the UT Pickle Research Campus in north Austin. UTIG will share the building, located directly south of the Bureau of Economic Geology building on the north side of the campus, with the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). This building has been long-awaited by UTIG, ever since UTIG moved from Galveston to Austin in 1982. Move-in is scheduled for January, 2007.
