Help on Displaying the Movies

The movies can be displayed using the following software:

• Powerpoint
  A Powerpoint viewer can be downloaded free from http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Ppview97.aspx.
  Run Powerpoint or the viewer and open the file. Under 'Slide Show' on the top menu bar, select 'View Show' to view the slide show. Some slide shows move forward automatically; others require that the user click the mouse to see the next slide. Click on the 'Esc' key to exit the slide show.

• SimpleText
  Run SimpleText; under File, select Open and open the movie; click on the arrow in the lower left corner to start the movie.

• Simple Player
  Run SimplePlayer under File, select Open and open the movie; click on the arrow in the lower left corner to start the movie.

• QuickTime
  Run QuickTime; under File, select Open and open the movie; click on the arrow in the lower left corner to start the movie. You can change the size of the movie under the Movie option on the menu bar.
  To get QuickTime to automatically load the movie, download QuickTime and Netscape. Follow the directions to install them, being sure to put the QuickTime Plug-ins into the Netscape Plug-In folder. Run Netscape 3.0; under Options on the menu bar, select General Preferences; click Helpers; click the QuickTime Video and Edit; set the following parameters:

  MIME Type: video/quicktime
  Suffixes: mov
  Handled by Application: MoviePlayer
  File type: Moov
