Dan's CV

Areas of Expertise
geochemistry; collection and processing of soil and water samples for naturally occurring radioisotopes, trace metals and total suspended matter; maintain radiochemical instrumentation for prepared sample analyses.

Computer software/languages
Maestro and Genie 2000 software for alpha and gamma spectroscopy analyses; Excel, Sigma Plot, Origin, Surfer, ArcGIS.

Instrumentation
Gamma spectrometers, Alpha spectrometers, Continuous flow centrifuge, Freeze dryer, and various vacuum pumps; familiar with the use of Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler and Sand Ripple Imaging Altimeter to detect movement of fluid mud in the Atchafalaya estuary and adjacent shelf and the use of multibeam and Chirp seismic instrumentation for riverine sediment transport studies
