1100 Ma Plate Reconstruction Back to Wulf's homepage.

Proposed plate reconstruction for ~1100 Ma that makes the Coats Land-Maudheim-Grunehogna (CMG) province, the Ellsworth-Whitmore Mountain Block (E), and the Kalahari craton part of West Gondwana. In this scenario, the Coats Land, Ahlmannryggen, Borgmassivet poles from Antarctica (red circles) and the mean Kalahari pole (green circle) fall precisely onto the Laurentian apparent polar wander path (light blue circles) of the corresponding age. The continents are shown with their present coast lines for ease of recognition only. Stereographic projection.
