End-run of Laurentia

Reconstructions of Australia and Laurentia

The Laurentian "end-run" as proposed by Dalziel (1991). Africa is fixed in its present day coordinates. Gondwana is assembled using seafloor spreading data, and Laurentia is positioned relative to Gondwana using paleomagnetic data. See Dalziel (1991) for information on paleomagnetic poles used.
