Ray-Born inversion for fracture parameters

Much of what we do involve some mathematics, classical physics and lots of computer programming. We do have openings for talented students. If you are good in math and physics, are able to write computer programs comfortably and willing to try to solve challenging geologic problems, feel free to contact me. The procedures for applying to our graduate programs are outlined in our website
http://www.geo.utexas.edu/grad/admissions.html

I am also a faculty member in computational and applied mathematics (CAM). If you have a degree in Engineering, Math or Physics, feel free to apply for admission in that program (www.ices.utexas.edu). You will be expected to develop mathematical and computational techniques for geophysical data analysis.
