UTIG's senior research scientist, Tom Shipley, has served as a graduate research advisor or co-advisor to candidates for both masters and doctoral degrees. He has served as senior thesis advisor to many undergraduates. Tom has employed undergraduates as research assistants in the laboratory and at sea. Most of these students have gone on to graduate school, or careers in geophysical service companies or with environmental firms.
