Research:
My research is focused on sedimentary processes that shape Earth's surface. Sedimentation, deformation, and fluid flow are interrelated and have a fundamental impact on environmental and public safety issues, on recovering of energy resources, and our understanding of Earth history. My research is interdisciplinary in geology, geophysics, and engineering:

Geotechnical Model of Retrogressive Fine-Grained Submarine Landslides in the Gulf of Mexico

Flume Experiments of Retrogressive Failure in Subaqueous Clay Slopes

Levee Construction, Failure, and Erosion in Turbidite Channels of the Upper Mississippi Fan, Gulf of Mexico
