The atmosphere-ocean dynamics group at UTIG has close ties with climate scientists at UT including the climate group at the Department of Geological Sciences, and the oceanographic remote sensing group at the Center for Space Research and collaborates with the geologic climate records and ice sheet dynamics groups at UTIG.
