Using Breeze Web Conferencing Software If you do not have a Penn State ID you will need to create a "Friends of Penn State" account: 1) Sign up for a "Friends of PSU" account at https://fps.psu.edu/ 2) Once that is complete, go to https://breeze.psu.edu/basin 3) Click the Login button 4) Enter your "Friends of PSU" username and password when prompted 5) Email Tom Canich (tcanich@geosc.psu.edu) and ask him add you to the participants list for the Breeze meeting room. Once Tom has added you to the list: 1. Go to https://breeze.psu.edu/basin 2. Log in using your new account Once in the meeting room: 3. Meeting -> My Connection Speed -> "LAN" 4. Meeting -> Audio Setup Wizard 5. Run through the audio wizard - in Step 2 of the setup, make sure to choose Plantronics (or Logitech) Headset, whichever you have. In the last window of the set-up wizard, click "Settings",set your volume about 1/2 way, and click "Echo Suppression" 6. Meeting -> Select Camera. There are four tabs at the bottom of this box. Click the first tab and choose "Allow" 7. Click the third tab (microphone), choose "Plantronics Headset", set your volume about 1/2 way, and click "Echo Suppression" Note: if you sound too loud/soft to the other participants in the meeting, reopen this dialouge box and decrease/increase your volume here. 8. Click the fourth tab (camera). Choose "Logitech QuickCam" then close this box 9. In the "Camera and Voice" window (pod), click the button in the bottom left corner to start your audio and video 10. You will need to depress the "Talk" button when you want to speak. There is a lock so that you can talk "hands-free" but if you are having problems with bandwidth then this should be unlocked. Having a meeting: 1. To share a .ppt or .jpg in the bottom left corner of the whiteboard choose Share -> Documents -> From my Computer 2. To share a .pdf you must share your desktop: Share -> My Computer Screen -> Window How to HOST a meeting: 1. Once in the meeting room, Choose Meeting -> Auto promote participants to presenters
