Carrie Whitehill, PhD

Carrie received her PhD in May 2009 from Stanford University where her research has focused on: (1) geological and thermal constraints on the structural evolution of continental lithospheric extension, and (2) the tectonomorphology of the northern San Andreas fault and related active plate boundary faults.  The former is a collaborative effort between Carrie and colleagues at the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology; the latter is a collaborative effort with the USGS Earthquake Hazards Team in Menlo Park. Carrie's current research activities for CBTH will include interpreting seismic data, creating surface maps, and converting vintage well data to digital format.
