 Earthquakes per year as reported by three well known global catalogs of earthquakes. Each catalog is sensitive to a different earthquake magnitude range. For example, the Blacknest catalog contains almost all earthquakes occurring from about magnitude 4.5 up to magnitude 6.5; below magnitude 4.5 where the log(number/year) changes from an almost straight, sloping line to a curve, the catalog is not complete.
