ICECAP Metadata
ICECAP season 1 and 2 (ICP1 and ICP2) preliminary position data
ICECAP position data are available in three formats:
- As a PDF plot of lines on the MOA image mosaic.
- As a table of longitude, latitude and aircraft elevation points compatible with GMT.
- As a KML file suitable for import into Google Earth.
- orange indicates lines supported by the National Science Foundation, the Australian Antarctic Division and the French Polar Institute (IPEV) and funded by UK's National Environmental Research Council , in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, the Scott Polar Research Institute, and Bristol University
- green lines were flown in support of NASA's Operation Ice Bridge as reflights of ICESAT 1 orbital tracks
- blue show lines flown as an Ice Bridge funded collaboration with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory , the Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Géophysique de l'Environment , and the Laboratoire d'Etudes en Géophysique et Océanographie Spatiales and supported by IPEV.
These data are 10-second aircraft positions from an onboard CA code GPS receiver. KML data are organized by Project and are named using a Project/System/Transect scheme.
