These photos were taken while in the Bransfield Strait. We were very fortunate to encounter as many animals as we did. The seals that we saw were often on small bergs in the brash ice along the shore of an island. They did not seem to be interested in the ship and were often very comical in their response to our presense. We saw the Humpback whales near Deception Island. There are just a a few thousand Humpback remaining in the whole world. We also saw a few smaller Minke whales while we were making transits from one location to the next.
