The
South Pole Basin and Plateau Province:</strong> Uninterpreted and interpreted
radar records at the South Pole show that the ice surface and subglacial
topography is nearly horizontal. The ice is ~3 km thick and shows well-preserved
      internal layering

Uninterpreted and interpreted radar records
along three transects show well-preserved U-shaped valleys that are 2-5
km wide and 500-800 m deep. Ice coverage is approximately 2-2.5 km in this
      region

Uninterpreted and interpreted radar records shows rugged subaerial and subglacial topography.
Uninterpreted and interpreted radar records are shown
here. The interpreted record is combined with known geology in the region.
The TAM Front is characterized by a series of erosional or tectonic scarps
      with moderate slopes.
