Unboxing the seismometers
Above: To service the seismometers we must first remove the two layers of styrofoam boxes protecting the bell jars from dust and any small rocks that may break off of the ceiling.
Below: Although the ring seal in the image below looks as though it has failed, the real problem lies within the baseplate, between the shiny metallic disk and the red colored rim.
