South 4D 4C Dataset "In late 1996, Texaco and Input/Output embarked on a novel experiment to test a low-cost 4-C/4-D permanent reservoir monitoring system (PRMS). Western Geophysical and Digicourse were brought into the project to provide data acquisition and positioning services. In July and August 1997, four-component (4-C) data acquisition was performed over 9 km2 in Eugene Island Block 354 (Teal South), using a dense shot grid (25×25 m). In late 1997, Texaco turned control of the project over to the Energy Research Clearing House and invited industry participation."(Ebrom et al, 1998) The University of Texas Jackson School of Geosciences will host this data for the public via the Institute for Geophysics' Marine Seismic Data Center. Currently available are stacks and migrations of the Eugene Island original Texaco lines, the Phase I and Phase II (Multiple components). CDP gathers and navigation merged shot data will be available at a later date. All well data, observer logs, processing information are contained in the zip files below. The seismic and VSP SEG-Y data can be downloaded from the Marine Seismic Data Center: via this link; http://www.ig.utexas.edu/sdc/cruise.php?cruiseIn=tealsouth4D4C |
