Spring Retirement Party!

It was a UTIG retirement party! We bid an emotional but happy farewell this week, to four long time colleagues and friends, whose work and character helped build UTIG into leading geophysical research institute:

Gail Christeson, UTIG’s associate director, departs to join the National Science Foundation as program director for ocean sciences, marine and geosciences.

Craig Fulthorpe, an exploration geophysicist since he joined UTIG as a postdoc in 1990, now plans to travel for fun.

Steffen Saustraup, research scientist associate and indispensable science support on many a field expedition.

John Gerboc, senior software developer and master of the coffee club, now easing into retirement.

Don’t be a stranger y’all! 🥳🤘🎉
