Mason J. Fried

GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT
M_Fried300Mason is interested in studying physical processes that control ice streams, tidewater glaciers, their subglacial hydrology, and ice-ocean interactions. Mason understands the need to utilize a variety of techniques to study these processes, including geophysical methods (such as GPS and multibeam bathymetry), numerical modeling, and reconstructions of past ice sheet behavior. In addition, Mason is interested in polar marine sedimentology, glacial geology, and climate interactions.

INTERESTS
glaciology, subglacial hydrology, sedimentology
